Sosialisasi Hadis Tentang Kewajiban Menuntu Ilmu di Pondok Pesantren Miftahus Sholah Al-Husain

Abstract

Seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim, as emphasized in various hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). However, understanding and practicing the hadiths regarding the obligation to seek knowledge among Islamic boarding school students still needs to be strengthened through targeted outreach activities. The Miftahus Sholah Al-Husain Islamic Boarding School, as an Islamic educational institution, has a strategic role in instilling hadith-based scientific values in its students. The problem faced is that many students still view seeking knowledge as merely a formal obligation without understanding its urgency, meaning, and implications in daily life. This community service program aims to disseminate hadiths about the obligation to seek knowledge and to increase students' understanding and awareness of the importance of seeking knowledge as part of worship and the responsibility of every individual. The methods used in this community service program are lectures, socialization, and discussions. First, the students were organized to create an orderly and conducive atmosphere. Second, the material (lecture) was delivered by presenting hadiths related to the obligation to seek knowledge along with explanations of their meaning and relevance in the lives of students. Third, the activity continued with interactive discussions that provided opportunities for students to ask questions, express their opinions, and relate the content of the hadiths to their learning experiences in the pesantren environment. The results of the activity showed an increase in the students' understanding of the content of the hadiths about the obligation to seek knowledge and a growth in motivation to study more diligently, both religious and general knowledge. Thus, the dissemination of these hadiths was effective in instilling scientific values and strengthening the character of the students at the Miftahus Sholah Al-Husain Islamic Boarding School.
